Casa Madrid and Arnel Management SUCK

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned skylink cable yet. So after living there for 1 year and completing my lease, I moved across the street. My cable bill went from $60 per month with skylink, the arnel owned cable company, to $25 per month with time warner. I've contacted lawyers about a class action law suit because they in effect have created a monopoly on high speed internet by barring any other company from there property.
I agree with most of the reviews here, they fall in line with my own personal experience living there. Make sure you give 30days notice on the 11th month of your lease. The department of fair housing website gave me great advice on getting my deposit back. After several months of having a bill for my final deposit I got a few hundred dollars back... After i called and asked them if I needed to file suit.
A good rule... AVOID ARNEL MANAGEMENT COMPANY!

Call Arnel corporate in Costa Mesa and that is where have your lawyer send the demand. That is the only thing that worked for me. The residence staff could care less once you have left.

Ummm, you MORON!! I've lived in TWO Arnel properties and both times, they HAND me a flyer to Time Warner cable. Not only do they hand them to you, but everytime you walk into their offices, there are Time Warner cable flyers all over the office. What the HELL is Skylink anyway??

Who is calling me a moron? Your the one that lived in 2 Arnel properties.
You also did not read what i wrote. Skylink cable is the cable company thats shoved down your throat when you move into one of there companys. They charge far and above what is the industry standards for cable tv and internet. They do not allow AT&T to provide DSL to there Casa Madrid, and I assume other Arnel Management properties.
The way that i got money back from Arnel was to send them a letter certified mail return receipt. In the letter I listed what they charged me for and what charges I disputed. They charged me for things like refacing every countertop, reglazing the bathtub, $255 to paint a studio apt. Anyways, they didn't respond to that letter, but when i called them and spoke with someone in the collections.. stated i called on this day and no one got back to me, that I sent a letter certified mail and have proof it was delivered, and asked him if the only way to get a response was to file suit which i was fully prepared to do... He said he would look into it and get back to me, which he did the next day and reversed 2/3 of the charges in exchange for me signing something that said I wouldn't sue them.
